Abstract
One of the technological advances in handling post-harvest rice is the thresher. Thresher is a rice threshing tool that is needed to increase rice threshing production and speed up the post-harvest process. Threshing is separating the grain from the stalk. Seeing these conditions, in this final project the author will design a rice thresher that can reduce operational costs, save time, and is easy to move but has a large capacity and effectiveness. The tool will be designed using wheels that can be driven using a gasoline engine in the sense that a modified gasoline engine can move the wheels and a rice crusher, this machine has a gasoline motor power of 6.5 HP, a capacity of 500 kg/hour at a thresher rotation of 1400 rpm. By having various variations of the blade, namely round and square blades with different sizes. Blades are round in shape with a gap of 5 cm and blades are square in shape with a size of 2 cm and have a gap of 5 cm. Keywords: design, paddy, shaft, pulley, v-belt
