Abstract

The communication group certainly requires a communication strategy related to communication planning to the implementation of communication. community groups and communication strategies are also needed in a community in order to advance and develop the community. A leader in a community must understand group communication and good communication strategies in order to be able to lead its members. Not only the leader in the community, but all members of the community must also have the ability to communicate to all the public of the community, both internal and external. Group communication and strategies Community also serves to maintain closeness between members in the community. Therefore the researcher wants to know how the Group Communication strategy, Communication Barriers, and the rules applied to the Save Street Child Surabaya Community. Through observation and interviews in order to obtain the required research data information. The analysis in this thesis uses a qualitative research method, namely a research that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the person or behavior being observed. From the results of this study, that the Communication Strategy applied to the Save Street Child Community is a two-way communication strategy, namely direct communication and using social media intermediaries watshaap direct communication, namely holding regular meetings every week and held every month, the Save Street Child Surabaya Community also communicate using the WhatsApp group, and the WhatsApp group is divided according to their respective divisions. Meanwhile, the communication barriers that occur in the Save Street Child Surabaya community are in terms of language differences because the members and volunteers in the Save Street Child Surabaya community come from different regions. . While the rules that apply in the Save Street Child Surabaya Community are that the community does not accept donations or visits that have political elements.
