Abstract

The Corporate Social Responsibility Public Relations strategy is all the design regarding the company's activity plans related to providing understanding for the community as well as PT Kereta Api Indonesia Persero which has a strategy in an effort to develop MSME self-sufficiency in Daop 8 Surabaya Practitioner of Corporate Social Responsibility Public Relations PT Kereta Api Indonesia Perserohas a strategy that is prepared based on existing situations and conditions, one ofwhich is by adding facilities and providing training services in an effort to develop UMKM independence. This research uses a type of qualitative research with datacollection techniques using interview and documentation methods. field data obtained from interviews based on relevant theories, namely regarding strategy and public relations planning regarding increasing the independence of UMKM. The research that has been carried out is obtained The result is that the strategy carried out by PT Kereta Api Indonesia's CSR, namely PT KAI as a distributor of capital to UMKM actors, provides assistance in training provided by the company to MSME actors, providing a platform for them so that their products are known by the wider community. For the strategy itself, upholding the company's reputation so that this company can still be trusted by the public by making news releases and publishing them on the media PT KAI invites the media and presentsnews to the press in every activity related to promoting UMKM products assisted by PT KAI Daop 8 so that they can support the company's reputation while increasing the independence of UMKM assisted by Daop 8 Keywords: Strategy, Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), UMKM
