Abstract

This research aims to describe the relationship between the achieveent motivation and the performance of PT. ISA employees. This research is classified as a correlational research with product moment correlation as quantitative. This research was conducted in the environment of PT. ISA with 250 people population, then 154 people was taken as random sample by using the Slovin formula. The instrument used in this research was a Likert scale with 4 alternative answers which were distributed to the subject in a number of 65 statements representing the research variables. Then the validity and reliability tests were carried out with SPSS 29.00 for windows, showing that all items were declared valid and reliable. The test was continued with the prerequisite tests for normality and linearity using SPSS 29.00 for windows with the results of the normality test showing a significance value (p) of 0.200, meaning >0.005 and otherwise normally distributed. While the results of the linearity test showed a significance value (p) of 0.195, meaning >0.005 and it was stated that there was a linear relationship between the two variables. Data analysis was carried out using the product moment correlation test method with a correlation value of 0.736 with a significance value (p) = 0.001, with a significance value limit <0.01 and it was stated that the two variables were correlated with very significant. This means that the results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between achievement motivation and PT.ISA employee performance. If an employee has high achievement motivation, then the performance will be high. Vice versa, if employee achievement motivation is low, the resulting high performance will also be low.
