Abstract

Usia dewasa diartikan sebagai usia yang matang karena pada usia dewasa individu akan mengalami penyesuaian pola kehidupan yang belum pernah dirasakan di usia sebelumnya, penyesuaian tersebut akan menimbulkan kekhawatiran hingga timbulnya rasa tidak percaya diri. Banyak individu yang memilih untuk menarik diri dari lingkungannya sehingga individu mengalami loneliness. Loneliness dapat di atasi dengan dukungan orag terdekat yaitu orang tua. Orang tua memiliki pengaruh penting ketika anak mengalami loneliness karena orangtua dan anak yang memiliki hubungan dan ikatan emosi yang kuat, hal ini biasanya di sebut sebagai parental attachment. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parental attachment dengan loneliness Pada Dewasa Awal. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah individu yang berada di fase dewasa awal dengan umur 20 – 25 tahun dengan melibatkan 135 responden. Hipotesis yang diajukan pada penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan negatif antara parental attachment dengan loneliness pada dewasa awal. Pengambian sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan menyebar google form. Instrument yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala loneliness sesuai dengan teori Russell (2012) dan skala parental attachment sesuai dengan teori Hafo (2020). Teknis analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah product moment dengan hasil -0,004 dengan signifikansi p = 0,000 < 0,05. Pengukuran penelitian untuk melihat reliabilitas instrument peneliti menggunakan koefisien combach’s alpha yang ketika analisis membutuhkan bantuan software SPSS (Statistic Package and Social Science) 25.0 for Windows. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti diterima, semakin tinggi parental attachment maka semakin rendah loneliness yang dirasakan pada dewasa awal. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah parental attachment maka semakin tinggi loneliness pada dewasa awal
