Abstract

Penerimaan diri ialah sikap dalam menerima segala keadaan diri dan memandang diri secara positif dan objektif. Penerimaan diri ini cenderung sulit dilakukan oleh penderita bipolar disorder disebabkan banyak hal yang harus dilalui individu setelah terdiagnosis bipolar disorder. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan diri ialah dukungan sosial. Dukungan sosial ini didapatkan dari berbagai aspek yaitu dukungan dari keluarga, teman dan orang spesial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial dengan penerimaan diri pada penderita remaja. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah penderita bipolar disorder dengan rentang usia 18 – 25 tahun di Indonesia yang terdiagnosis mengalami gangguan bipolar disorder. Populasi dalam penelitian ini tidak dapat diketahui secara pasti jumlahnya. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu peneliti menentukan kriteria khusus dalam pengambilan sampel yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian sehingga diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan penelitian. Subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 49 orang dengan menggunakan google form yang disebarkan pada tanggal 06 – 20 November 2022. Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan alat ukur skala dukungan sosial yang dikonstruksi dari teori Zimet dan skala penerimaan diri yang dikonstruksi dari teori Sheerer. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik korelasi parametrik pearson product moment dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS 25 for windows. Hasil pada penelitian ini sebesar rxy 0,878 dengan nilai signifikansi p=0,000, dimana p<0,01 yang artinya hipotesis yang menyatakan terdapat hubungan positif dukungan sosial dengan penerimaan diri pada penderita bipolar disorder diterima.
