Abstract

Mahasiswa merupakan individu yang sedang belajar di perguruan tinggi. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa tidak dapat lepas dengan individu lain. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa disebut dengan makhluk sosial. Salah satu kehidupan bersosial pada mahasiswa adalah di lingkungan kos-kosan. Dalam sebuah lingkungan kos-kosan mahasiswa memerlukan rasa saling tolong menolong dari teman mahasiswa yang lain, Rasa saling menolong didasari karena jauh dari orang tua ataupun orang terdekat. Sehingga Altruisme erat kaitanya dengan mahasiswa kos-kosan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gratitude dengan altruisme pada mahasiswa yang tinggal di koskosan. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang tinggal di kos-kosan di wilayah Surabaya dengan umur 18-25 tahun. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik non probability sampling secara accidental sampling dengan menyebar skala penelitian menggunakan google form dan mendapatkan responden sebanyak 108 Mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian melalui uji korelasi product moment menunjukan bahwa nilai korelasi r = 0,606 dengan taraf signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,01). Artinya terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara gratitude dengan altruisme.Sehingga semakin tinggi gratitude maka semakin tinggi altruisme pada mahasiswa yang tinggal di kos-kosan. Sebaliknya semakin rendah gratitude yang dimiliki maka semakin rendah pula altruisme pada mahasiswa yang tinggal di kos-kosan.
