Abstract

Pemerintah dalam menyelenggarakan sebuah Negara tentunya harus memperhatikan pelayanan. pelayanan sendiri merupakan sebagai bentuk komunikasi antara pemerintah dengan masyarakat. Pelayanan memegang peranan yang penting dalam sebuah pemerintahan. Dalam memberikan sebuah pelayanan kepada publik tentunya harus memperhartikan beberapa prinsipprinsip agar pelayanan yang diberikan mampu diterima secara maksimal oleh publik. Sebagai upaya untuk menyelenggarkan pelayanan publik yang maksimal di Kantor Kecamatan Karangan Kabupaten Trenggalek maka prinsip-prinsip dalam good governance harus diterapkan. Menurut Andre Roudonuwu, Welson Rompas, dan Jericho Pombengi prinsip-prinsip pada Good Governance meliputi Partisipasi, Transparansi, Responsivitas, Keadilan, Efisiensi & Efektivitas, dan Akuntablitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui prinsip-prinsip good governance dalam pelayanan publik di Kantor Kecamatan Karangan. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggambarkan sejelas mungkin informasi yang ada dalam penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa untuk implementasi prinsip-prinsip good governance dalam meningkatkan pelayanan publik di Kantor Kecamatan Karangan telah diterapkan. Pada prinsip partisipasi, keadilan, dan akuntabilitas lebih dominan dilaksanakan dari pada prinsip transparansi dan responsivitas yang tidak dominan dilaksanakan.
