Abstract

Some young lecturers receive wages/salaries below the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of South Kalimantan Province, which is Rp. 2,877,448,-. There is no information about announcements or increases in lecturer salaries and allowances. There is no reward/award for outstanding lecturers. Guaranteed career path that is not yet clear. There are still complaints related to infrastructure in supporting Tridharma, not being included in BPJS Employment participants for Foundation Permanent Lecturers. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of compensation, and the effect of motivation on lecturer satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach, data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation, observation. The source of the data is taken through a total sampling of 64 people. The results of the study that the compensation variable (X1) on satisfaction (Y) has a significant effect, indicating the tcount value is greater than the ttable value (7.533>1.67022) with a significance of 0.000, meaning that the hypothesis of X1 Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Performance (Y) shows the value of the t-test results on hypothesis testing for the variable obtained by the t-count value of 1.560, that the t-count value is smaller than t-table (1,560<1.67022) with a significance of 0.124>0.05. This means that the X2 hypothesis is rejected. Compensation (X1) and Motivation (X2) variables towards goals (Y) ). This shows that the calculated f value is greater than f table (56.996 > 3.15) with a significance (0.000 <0.05), Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Simultaneously, compensation and motivation variables affect the variable of lecturer satisfaction. For STIA Amuntai to increase compensation to lecturers according to the ability of the school so that lecturer job satisfaction can increase. can be expected to increase the motivation of lecturers at work. Universities are expected to be able to encourage lecturers to increase their motivation to actually carry out the teaching profession based on Law no. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers (Tri Dharma College).
