Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the correlation between the relationship between democratic parenting tendencies and self-regulated learning in elementary school children. The method used in this study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires, in which it consists of 2 (two) variables, namely the self-regulated learning(Y) and the democratic parenting variable (X). Respondents in this study were 118 elementary school students. The sampling technique used in this study is accidental sampling , namely taking samples that meet predetermined prerequisites and also coincidentally found. Based on calculations using the Pearson Product Moment score Pearson Correlation of 0.459 with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05) indicates a significant positive relationship between the two variables. That is, the higher the democratic parenting pattern, the higher the selfregulated learning in elementary school children, so the research hypothesis "there is a positive relationship between democratic parenting and self-regulated learning in elementary school children" can be accepted.
