Abstract
Internet technology has changed people's behavior patterns in interacting, especially on social media. It is no secret that people cannot escape the use of social media. The rampant use of the internet has negative impacts such as cyberbullying behavior. Cyberbullying is the misuse of technology such as sms, internet, email, chat, online videos, social networking sites, and others where someone writes texts or uploads images or videos about certain people with the aim of humiliating, torturing, making fun of them, or threatening them. Cyberbullying behavior is influenced by factors such as personality type, traditional bullying, strain, parental roles and peer attachment. Peer attachment is an inherent bond that occurs between a child and his or her peers, either individually or in his peer group. Adolescents must be able to select their environmental associations, so that the attachment formed is a positive attachment, because it will have a good impact on himself, on the contrary, if this attachment cannot be interpreted properly, then this attachment will be a trigger for negative behavior such as cyberbullying. This study was conducted with the aim of determining whether there is a correlation between peer attachment and the tendency to cyberbullying behavior in adolescents. This study uses correlational quantitative methods. The subjects in this study were 89 students of class X and XI at SMAN 1 Gedeg, Mojokerto Regency. The sampling technique uses probability sampling, namely proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection method uses a scale or questionnaire likert model. The measuring instruments used are the peer attachment scale and the cyberbullying scale. Hypothesis testing in this study used spearman's rho correlation with the help of SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) for window version 24. The results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of ρ = -0.315 with a significance p = 0.003 < 0.05 which means that there is a very significant negative relationship between peer attachment and the tendency to cyberbullying behavior in adolescents.
