Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between adjustment and loneliness in middle-aged adults who are widowed. This study uses quantitative methods to achieve the research objectives. The subjects used in this study were middle adults with widow status in Sambirejo Village, Nganjuk Regency, amounting to 43 people. This research is a population study research. The measuring instrument used in this study is the loneliness and adjustment scale which has been modified by the researcher according to the condition of the research subject. The research data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results of the calculations from the data analysis showed that the Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient was -0.679 with a significant level of p = 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant negative relationship between adjustment and loneliness in middle-aged adults who are widowed. This result means that the better the adjustment, the lower the loneliness experienced by middle-aged adults who are widowed, and vice versa. The hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between adjustment and loneliness in middle-aged adults who are widowed is accepted. Keywords : Adjustment, Loneliness, Middle Adult, Widow
