Abstract

The phenomenon of the final student problem is the difficulty of completing the thesis caused by daring learning which results in academic procrastination. One of the factors that influence academic procrastination is the use of the internet. The intensity of internet use is how often and how long in using or accessing a network that connects computers and networks around the world to share data and information. This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of internet use and academic procrastination in students of the architecture faculty of Untag Surabaya. This study involved 71 students as the sample selected using simple random sampling technique. The variables in this study were measured using the academic procrastination scale and the internet use intensity scale. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Pearson Product Moment correlation. Results Based on data analysis, the correlation coefficient was p = 0.913 with a significance value of p = 0.002 (p < 0.05). That is, there is a significant relationship between the intensity of internet use and academic procrastination. Keywords: Internet Use Intensity, Academic Procrastination, Final Student
