Abstract
UD. Nuraji Pot has a land that is separated into two by a road because the separate land makes the departments in building one and building two 15 meters apart for the production process. So, resulting in a lot of unproductive time of 10 minutes for each material taking and product transfer from land one to land two and making product processing time long due to the distance traveled. The distance traveled by the material is 249.5 meters. The steps taken in solving this problem include the ARC method to determine the level of closeness between departments and the ARD method for making a new floor plan roughly in an ARD block. The results of the new floor plan design are scenario one and scenario two, from both scenarios scenario one is better, because the distance traveled by the material is shorter and the production process flow is more regular and the distance between each department is closer so that the production time is closer. The walking speed time when carrying the material in one process is 35 m/min and the time when carrying the material without production is 3.2 minutes, so the calculation of time efficiency is 55%. What is obtained is a more productive use of time due to less back and forth activity in the transfer of materials between fields one and two due to the shorter distance traveled by 112 meters.
