Abstract
Small and Medium Industries in Sidoarjo Regency also contribute in terms of employment. The purpose of this research is to knowing the effect of the growth of the independent variable number of business units, investment value and the minimum wage has a significant effect or not on the dependent variable Absorption of Manpower in Small and Medium Industries in Sidoarjo Regency.Research Methods in this study using quantitative methods with data secondary data in the form of time series in 2014-2018. This research data analysis tool using multiple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that partially or simultaneously there is a significant influence between the number of business units and the value of investment on the employment of small and medium industries in the Regency Sidoarjo, but the minimum wage variable has a negative and insignificant effect to the absorption of small and medium-sized industrial workers in Sidoarjo Regency, because if the greater the wages paid to workers, the more costs the production that is issued, the smaller the profit obtained from the industry or the company which will certainly have an effect on reducing the number of workers existing work. Obtained an R square value of 0.216 which means, the level of energy absorption Work in small and medium industries in Sidoarjo Regency is explained by variations variable number of business units, investment value and minimum wage is 21% and the rest is explained by other variables that is equal to 79%.
