Abstract
The addiction to use of the gadget is a person who is addicted to the gadget and has a high impulse to always use the gadget. Students who have the urge to continue to use the gadget in him make these students do not care about the environment so that students are low in their prophetic behaviour. The aim of this researcher is to encourage the relationship of addiction to the use of the prosocial behavior in the Faculty of Psychology students. The subject of this study is 144 students of the Faculty of Psychology Blue 2016/2017 University 17 August 1945 Surabaya. The data retrieval techniques in this study use the scale of the addiction to the use of gadgets and the scale of the prosocial behavior of Likert. Result of analysis with product moment using SPSS 20 obtained correlation rxy =-0.130 with significance value (p) = 0.120 > 0.05, thus the hypothesis posed by researchers in this study was rejected.
