Abstract

Family social support is acceptance, attention, and trust will increase happiness in students. Learning motivation is a learning activity that will determine whether or not active in learning activities that can lead to positive attitude towards students, high motivation to learn will also give a feeling of pleasure, not bored quickly and earnest in doing learning activities. This study aims to determine the correlation between family social support and learning motivation on students. This shows that the hypothesis in this tudy is proven. The subjects used in this study were students of class XI TKR and TPM in SMK Antartika 1 totaling 80 people. The method used to collect research data is the scale of family social support and learning motivation scale. The technique used to analyze research data is the Product Moment correlation analysis technique from Karl Pearson. The results showed that there was a correlation between family social support and student motivation to obtain a r xy = 0.468 with a significant level of p = 0.004 (p ≤ 0.05), which means there was a significant positive correlation between family social support variable and learning motivation variable. This means that the research hypothesis proposed in this study is to say there is a correlation between family social support and student motivation to learn, otherwise accepted.
