Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a health problem that is happening in the world. The Indonesian Ministry of Health (2020) mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on mental and psychosocial health. Anxiety is a psychological symptom that brings psychological response in the form of feelings of fear, worry, anxiety or uncertainty that makes a person react and behave excessively. Anxiety can be suppressed when a person feels happiness because a happy person will experience positive emotions, satisfaction and the loss of negative emotions such as depression or anxiety. In addition to happiness, what can affect anxiety is family support. If the individual feels happy and often gets support from family, then usually anxiety can be suppressed and physical and mental stability can be overcome. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between happiness and family support and anxiety of housewives during the Covid 19 pandemic. This study is a quantitative study conducted on housewives in Java and outside Java during the covid-19 pandemic with a sample number of 200 people and using accidental sampling techniques. Analyzed with multiple linear regression tests, the results showed simultaneously there was no very significant association between happiness and family support with anxiety. There was no partially significant association between happiness and anxiety, and no significant association between family support and anxiety in housewifes.
