Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and self-efficacy with housewives' stress in dealing with online learning during the pandemic. Stress is an adjustment effort which if the individual cannot overcome obstacles or difficulties properly, there will be physical disturbances, unhealthy behavior and mental disorders. Social support is information and feedback from other individuals that shows that individuals are loved and cared for, valuable, respected and are also considered as part of a group that communicates with each other and has shared responsibilities. Self-efficacy is an individual's ability to develop himself emotionally, cognitively and socially. The subjects of this research are housewives in the Pakal-Surabaya area who have school-aged children (TK, SD) and are affected by the online learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a non-probability sampling technique, with a correlational quantitative approach. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis to calculate the effect of social support and self-efficacy on stress or to predict stress with social support and selfefficacy. The whole process in analyzing all the data of this research is using SPSS software version 20.00 for windows. The results of this study prove that social support is negatively correlated with stress, self-efficacy is negatively correlated with stress, and together social support and self-efficacy are correlated with stress. These results illustrate that the three hypotheses proposed in this study are proven.
