Abstract

Academic procrastination is the behavior of delaying doing assignments that can occur among students. One of the factors causing academic procrastination is self-regulated learning, so that it can result in a person being less able to self-regulate, both in actively participating in the learning process and doing certain tasks. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination in final semester students who are completing their thesis. The research design used by the researcher is a quantitative research with the participants involved in the form of final semester students who are completing their thesis or final project as many as 85 respondents. Analysis of the data in this study using Product Moment correlation with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and obtained the result of -0.804 with a significance of p = 0.000. That is, there is a correlation or negative relationship between the variables of academic procrastination and self-regulated learning. The higher self-regulated learning in students, it will be followed by lower academic procrastination behavior in completing the thesis or final project. Like-wise the other way around.
