Abstract

This study examines electric scooters using a permanent magnet generalor which also functions as a motor So that we can find out how the effect of motor speed and variations in pulley diameter on charging electrical energy to the battery and how the effect of the number of dynamos and variations in the diameter of the bicycle dynamo driving wheel on charging electric energy in electric scooter batteries. This electric scooter research uses a variable motor speed of 1000,1800,2700 Rpm with a variation of the alternator pulley diameter of 70,65,50. mm and the diameter of the bicycle dynamo drive wheel diameter of 21,20,18 mm. By using the observation method, researchers can conduct tests on the electric scooter so as to get data on how much voltage and current is generated from the electric scooter that can charge the battery. Tests using an alternator, obtained the largest power at 2700 RPM pulley 50 mm with a power of 18.5 wats. For testing with 2 bicycle dynamos, the largest power was obtained, at 2700 RPM 18 mm pulley with 14.6 watts of power. For testing with I bicycle dynamo, the largest power was obtained at 2700 RPM 18 mm pulley with 4.2 watts of power. From the results of the research that has been obtained by the author, the author hopes to make new innovations in the utilization of motion energy into electrical energy by utilizing the rotation of an electric scooter motor And this final report can be used as a reference for further researchers in analyzing electric scooters
