Abstract

Solar or solar energy has been widely utilized in many countries . If utilized properly , this abundant renewable energy source will be able to provide the world's daily energy consumption needs . The potential of solar energy in a region depends largely on the position between the sun and the position of that region on the earth's surface .. Indonesia in the equator has considerable solar energy potential throughout the year . This utilization of renewable energy can be done directly by leaving objects on solar radiation , or using equipment that includes collectors and solar concentrators ( solar panels ) . The increase in electricity tariffs that are always increasing every year , encourages people to innovate more in an effort to minimize the cost of electricity needs . Therefore , the innovation of water pump drive with solar panels is expected to be more efficient and efficient in the use of electrical energy , as one of the alternaif use of renewable energy electricity . Judging from this , it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of PLTS ( Solar Power Plant ) for the future . The purpose of the research conducted is to find out the potential of solar power that reaches the surface of the earth at the study site , and to review the performance of plts that have been installed , and to find out whether or not the PLTS is developed economically .
