Abstract
This study analyzes the metaphorical image in the lyrics of the song Mrs. Green Apple is based on J. D. Parera's (2004) theory of the structure of a metaphor consisting of of the topics discussed, the image or the second topic, as well as the sense or similarities/similarities. Research data are words or phrases that contain metaphorical imagery in the lyrics of the songs Boku no Koto, Ao to Natsu, Circle, Folktale, and Attitude in Mrs.'s Attitude album. Green Apple. This research includes this type of qualitative descriptive research. The data collection method is carried out by using the method of observation and data obtained from song lyrics then recorded in the data table. The data analysis stage is in the form of identification, classification and description. The results of this study are the metaphorical images contained in on 5 song lyrics in Mrs. Attitude album. Green Apple.In 5 song lyrics In this study, it was found that there are 3 types of metaphorical images out of 28 metaphorical images, namely in In a metaphor there are anthropomorphic images, 6 abstract to concrete images, and 3 images synesthesia or exchange of sensory responses/perceptions in the lyrics of the song Boku no Koto. In addition, in a metaphor there are anthropomorphic images, 3 abstract images to concrete, and 3 images of synesthesia or exchange of sensory responses/perceptions on Ao to Natsu lyrics. Whereas in a metaphor there is an abstract image of the concrete, and 2 images of synesthesia or exchange of sensory responses/perceptions of Circle song lyrics. As for the lyrics of the Folktale song, there is a metaphor, there is an image anthropomorphic, synesthesia images or exchange of sensory responses/perceptions. Then 2 abstract to concrete images, and 2 synesthesia or exchange images response/sensory perception on Attitude song lyrics.
