Abstract

Along with the development of time and technology, many industrial circles use metal as their main operational material or as a raw material for its production. Wheel shaft is one of the most important components of a motorbike because the shaft serves to support the body, the vehicle's own load as well as the external load on the vehicle in this case humans or cargo on the motorcycle. With the many industrial products on the market making people able to manipulate between original and imitation products, counterfeit products will be sold at prices that are cheaper and of lower quality but much in demand by users of these products. These industrial products in the form of motorcycle parts in this case the rear axle of a motorcycle, especially on motorbikes. This research is comparative research, which is comparing 2 (two) things or objects directly to find the best. The variables of this study are the variation of the load given and the time of loading on the shaft. From the Style vs. Modulus Elasticity graph, it can be concluded that, the ability of Honda genuine parts shaft modulus elasticity can accept forces up to 2600 N (423469,128N / mm2) or equivalent to 280 kg if the force exceeds 5000 N then the shaft will experience plastic deformation or permanent bent which causes the shaft to not return to its original shape. From the graph of Style vs. Modulus Elasticity it can be concluded that, the ability of modulus of elasticity of Honda shaft genuine parts can accept forces up to 4800 N (479456,6329 N / mm2) or equivalent to 480 kg if the force exceeds 5000 N then the shaft will undergo plastic deformation or permanent bent which causes the shaft to not return to its original shape.
