Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Profitability, Tangibility, Size, and Growth Opportunity on the Capital Structure of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2019 which is carried out in the automotive sub-sector. Based on the type of investigation, this research aims to prove the causal relationship between the independent variables of profitability, tangibility, size and growth opportunity on the dependent variable of capital structure. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling by obtaining a sample of 8 companies, the type of research used was quantitative, the location and source of the research used were www.idx.co.id, the data collection techniques used were documentation and literature study, The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with a significant level of 0.05 or 5%. And by using the simultaneous test (F test) where F count has a value of 0.001, with a coefficient of determination of 0.318. With a partial test (t test), profitability has a significant effect on capital structure as indicated by sig. 0.001, Tangibility with sig. 0.05, Growth Opportunity with sig. 0.05 and size has no significant effect on capital structure as indicated by sig. 0.05.
