Abstract

In Indonesia, the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy had an impact on the people's economy and the government announced a first quarter recession. Data on workers affected by the impact of Covid-19 compiled by the Ministry of Manpower, with the merging of data from the Local Government Manpower Office throughout Indonesia, until July 31, 2020, shows that in total both formal and informal workers affected by Covid-19 reached more than 3.5 million people. For data from data that has been cleansed with the Social Security Administering Body (BPJS), it reaches 2.1 million people who are registered by name by address. This situation is due to the large number of companies or medium-sized businesses being forced to terminate their employment. Daily workers lose their livelihoods. The seller lost his customer. Many small and medium SME sectors are losing consumers. The Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, stated that the economic crisis caused by Covid was more than the economic crisis in 1998. As an effort to deal with this economic impact, the Indonesian government has prepared hundreds of trillions of funds to help people affected by Covid, especially the middle and lower class. If we observe the community after receiving assistance, it will be spent on their needs. This is really very helpful in economic growth which is a recession. In Sumobito Jombang sub-district, after the community received social assistance in the cash market and shops, it has gradually improved and recovered. Besides high economic growth, reducing poverty is a challenge that must be faced by the Indonesian government. If poverty reduction can be continued, it will strengthen one of the development trilogies, namely economic stability. So, development can be continued continuously. Continuous development is needed to accelerate the achievement of a just and prosperous society.
