Abstract

One effort in supporting mobility and enhance inter-regional connectivity in Central Kalimantan, where a good road infrastructure is an essential element in optimizing the function of transport in an area as it will facilitate the flow of traffic, distribution of goods and services, and can accelerate economic growth and improve standards of living. For the quality and capacity of existing roads will give a major role to the fulfillment of the public transport sector. In accordance with population growth and other factors, the need for the development or improvement of road class a long time, as well as construction of new roads are better in terms of its ability to carry the load or the payload axis Toughest (MST) in accordance with the priority needs of the user, especially on roads Sampit - Bagendang towards the port CPO Pelindo III in the district Bagendang East Kotawaringin which is the provincial road connecting to the district Seruyan. This segment is the outlet that serves or is used for the traffic of goods and services, transport of goods such as container, crude palm oil (CPO) and the results of other mines out of Central Kalimantan province. One of the main problems in the construction of roads and bridges in the province of Central Kalimantan both national roads, provincial and district roads is not the awakening of all roads in accordance with the priorities of the road structure. The structure that is used on the road section is flexible pavements which is the surface layer HRS-Wc already damaged / rough and in some places visible surface corrugated or perforated, and is included in the standard class III with MST 8 Ton. Problems arise when using trucks with large carrying capacity can not be avoided as a means of transport although exceeding tonnage (MST) are required, resulting in overloaded (Over Load) which is borne by the structure of the road or axle vehicle standards in excess of the load axis has been established. Of these problems, there should be an increase in MST on roads Sampit - Bagendang to the port of CPO in East Kotawaringin, namely Improvement Program of Roads Sampit - Bagendang towards the port of CPO with a total length of 20 km, with the aim of getting the cost structure of the most economical of flexible pavements and rigid. Rigid pavement taken by the local environment and relatively long design life. Although when viewed in terms of initial cost, this pavement has relatively high initial costs when compared to flexible pavements. The purpose of this study are (1) Analyzing the technical calculation of pavement flexible and rigid on the road Sampit - Bagendang to the port of CPO, (2) Analyzing the technical calculation of road pavement rigid and supple on the road section, (3) Conduct method used in this study is the analysis of the cost of using a uniform series analysis / annual worth is all cash flow that occurs during the planning horizon sequence is converted into a uniform interest rate of MAAR. After the planning of road engineering Sampit - Bagendang towards the port of CPO with the same MST value 10 Ton. The result is a rigid pavement is more economical when compared to flexible pavements. In the rigid pavement in a period of 40 years earned a fee of Rp. 9:27, - Billion / 10 Km, while the flexible pavement in a period of 20 years obtained a smaller fee which Rp.10.38, - Billion / 10 Km. Rigid pavement is more economical because it has a smaller development costs, minimal in maintenance operations and is suitable for areas that have limitations in the supply of local materials.
