Abstract

Optimizing cost and time to the planning of the road by using the method Bina Marga clan in 1987 with a variety of pavement thickness index ( the case study: on the road Puruk Cahu –Km. 50 (Pasar Punjung ) –City limits Muara Teweh North Barito Regency)held planningof pavement is good, because then pavement construction is able to bear the load of vehicles passing over it and spread the load layers underneath, including the subgrade, without causing significant damage to the road construction itself.The purpose of this study is to get an alternative road pavement thickness index of the most efficient and get the cost and time required.The results showed that the index Pavement Thickness (ITP) by using the method of Highways = 7.48 and AASHTO Method 1993 = 10.20 has a difference of 2.72. Pavement thickness index difference (ITP) has resulted in the addition of pavementthickness by using Method AASHTO 1993.Pavement thickness index (ITP) is an economical method of Highways with a construction cost of Rp. 12.7 billion, with savings of Rp. 3.8 billion. By setting the thickness of pavement on base course on the same = 20 cm acquired that type of material Aggregate Kls. BCBR 80% cheaper compared with a saving of cement + CTRB Rp.913.991.544, -~ 1 billion. The time required in the implementation of Highways method more efficient than the method AASHTO 1993 with savings of 44 days, this is due to the cement + CTRB = 15 + 29= 44 days. While aggregate Kls. BCBR of 80% requires only 22 days, thus saving 22 also caused ITP 1993 AASHTO Method bigger so require adding a thick layer of foundation under the Aggregate Kls. C, CBR 30% by 22 cm thereby increasing the duration of the execution time of 24days
