Abstract
The high rate of unemployment among the educated has prompted college graduates to be more adaptable by creating their own jobs through entrepreneurship. This study aims to analyze and demonstrate the contribution of internal factors namely, an entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to do business as well as external factors, such as family support, to entrepreneurial intentions among college students. The study focuses on students at a private university in Surabaya, namely Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya. The research approach employed is a quantitative method, with data collected via a questionnaire distributed to the respondents. The collected data were then processed and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the partial hypothesis testing indicate that entrepreneurial spirit, entrepreneurial motivation, and family support each have a positive and significant influence on the interest of students at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya in starting a business. Furthermore, through simultaneous testing, it was found that these three factors collectively make a very strong and significant contribution to encouraging students’ interest in entering the business world. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that strengthening the creative and resilient character within individuals, supported by a family ecosystem that is sup.
