Abstract

Anjuk Ladang Stadium is the primary sports facility in Nganjuk Regency, playing a strategic role as the home ground for the Persenga Nganjuk football club and serving as a public space for social interaction. However, the stadium’s current physical condition has significantly deteriorated and no longer meets the technical standards stipulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2021, nor the international standards set by FIFA. Land constraints at the existing site limit efforts to expand facilities and implement proper security zoning. This study aims to redesign the stadium through relocation to a more ideal site while applying a metaphoric architectural approach to create an iconic visual identity for Nganjuk Regency. The research methodology employed is descriptive qualitative, utilizing field surveys, observations, literature reviews, and comparative studies of similar projects. The design concept proposed is "Cultivating Achievement" (Menanam Prestasi), which integrates an agrarian metaphor based on the shallot—the region's primary commodity—with the philosophy of Anjuk Ladang as the "Land of Victory." The design results demonstrate that relocating the stadium to a 12.7-hectare site in Nganjuk Regency can accommodate the requirements for a Type B stadium, including public, semi-public, private, and service zones with dedicated circulation systems. The application of a hybrid structure combining concrete and steel, alongside the integration of technologies such as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, modern lighting, and solar panels, emphasizes the modernization of the building. The resulting stadium functions not only as a safe and comfortable professional sports facility but also as a regional landmark that represents local values and the spirit of sustainable athlete development.
