Abstract

In Indonesia, it is very common to call it a clubbing or disco, where this place is a form of commercial business or nightlife industry by providing attractive facilities containing elements of entertainment, recreation, and also providing food and drinks, in the nightlife or disco we cannot deny the existence of ladies companions (LC) where they are nightlife entertainers. This personal branding can help these ladies companions to brand their self-image in the nightlife entertainment industry well, so that their reputation, credibility is good and worthy of being ladies companions with a positive image. With good personal branding and a good image on these ladies companions (LC), they can build and market their identity as ladies companions to create their branding in the eyes of others, in other cases potential clients. In this study using a qualitative approach, because in this study the researcher wants to get results by exploring and wanting to know in depth how these ladies companions (LC) brand themselves through behavior, social media, or individual social interactions in nightclubs with clients or customers where these ladies companions build personal branding and a good self-image for the sake of their profession as ladies companions (LC). The strategy used is through the self-presentation theory strategy that uses assertive strategies including ingratiation, self-promotion, exemplification, suplification, and intimidation. The results of the study indicate that implementing good personal branding will bring a good and professional self-image in the work of ladies companions in the Ambyar Superclub nightclub in Surabaya. Therefore, using a technique or strategy in self-presentation theory, namely the assertive strategy, with that the personal branding of ladies companions (LC) is declared successful if it has gained brand loyalty from clients or customers of a nightclub.
