Abstract

Industri yang semakin bertumbuh pesat di Indonesia yang berpotensi menghasilkan limbah yang bersifat anorganik dan mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya yang berdampak buruk pada lingkungan. Pada penelitian ini meninjau limbah dari hasil produksi sandal jepit yang dihasilkan oleh industri rumahan di daerah Jl. Wadungasri No. 43, Waru, Sidoarjo sebagai bahan tambah dalam campuran aspal porus. Aspal porus merupakan teknologi modern dari jenis perkerasan lentur yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan genangan air pada jalan dikarenakan fisiknya yang memiliki rongga untuk meloloskan air. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan metode pendekatan Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA 2004), dimana nilai KAO yang didapatkan sebesar 4,72%. Pengujian yang dilakukan dengan KAO 4,72% digunakan subtitusi limbah pada total campuran dengan variasi kadar limbah sandal jepit 0%, 1.5%, 3%, 4.5%. Sesuai dengan parameter aspal porus yang disyaratkan oleh Australian Asphalt Pavement Association tahun 2004 adalah pada kondisi KAO sebesar 4,72% dengan variasi limbah sandal jepit sebesar 0% didapatkan nilai CL sebesar 25,71%, AFD sebesar 0,20%, MQ sebesar 400,7 kg/mm, stabilitas sebesar 771,6 kg, dan VIM sebesar 18,3%. Pada variasi limbah sandal jepit sebesar 1,5% didapatkan nilai CL sebesar 28,34%, AFD sebesar 0,19%, MQ sebesar 614,1 kg/mm, stabilitas sebesar 1217,7 kg, dan VIM sebesar 20,5%. Pada variasi limbah sandal jepit sebesar 3% didapatkan nilai CL sebesar 33,44%, AFD sebesar 0,13%, MQ sebesar 621,3 kg/mm, stabilitas sebesar 896,2 kg, dan VIM sebesar 21,5%. Pada limbah sandal jepit sebesar 4,5% didapatkan nilai CL sebesar 36,76%, AFD sebesar 0,07%, MQ sebesar 529,4 kg/mm, stabilitas sebesar 554,6 kg, dan VIM sebesar 24,9%.
