Abstract

The increasing number of motorcycle theft cases in Indonesia every year shows that conventional security systems such as handlebar locks and padlocks are no longer effective in preventing unauthorized access. To address this issue, this study designed a motorcycle security system based on modern technology that utilizes NFC authentication, Engine Cut Off security, GPS tracking, and control via a smartphone application. This system was built using an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a smart SIM via NFC, a NEO-6M GPS module for location tracking, and two NJK-5002C sensors to detect indications of theft. A mobile application was developed to control and monitor the system. The methodology used includes hardware and software design, integration, and system testing in various scenarios. The test results show that the system is able to detect unauthorized access, secure the vehicle, and send notifications with a response time of less than 2 seconds. Overall, this system has proven to be consistent, reliable, and a practical solution in improving motorcycle security.
