Abstract

Material merupakan salah satu sumber daya utama dalam proyek konstruksi yang berfungsi sebagai komponen penyusun utama struktur bangunan. Perencanaan dan pengawasan yang tepat dalam penggunaan material sangat penting untuk mencegah pemborosan dan meminimalkan limbah material. Tingginya tingkat limbah material dapat berdampak negatif, terutama pada aspek keuangan proyek, mengingat sebagian besar anggaran dialokasikan untuk pengadaan material. Jika pemborosan material tidak terkendali, hal ini dapat menyebabkan pembengkakan biaya yang tidak sesuai dengan rencana awal, sehingga mempengaruhi efisiensi dan keberhasilan proyek secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada proyek renovasi Gedung BJKW Jawa Timur. Fokus peneliti adalah pada waste material yang terjadi pada pekerjaan struktur dan arsitektur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi waste material dominan dan mencari faktor dari waste material dominan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi dua metode, yaitu metode Pareto dan Fishbone Diagram. Metode Pareto digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis material yang memiliki potensi menghasilkan limbah dengan kerugian finansial terbesar. Sementara itu, Fishbone Diagram digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya pemborosan material. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa material yang menghasilkan waste dominan adalah besi beton polos dengan waste level sebesar 36,39%. Faktor penyebab utama dari waste material dominan pada besi beton polos dan besi beton ulir adalah people, environment, dan method.
