Abstract

Transportasi memiliki peranan penting dalam mendukung mobilitas barang dan orang, terutama dalam kegiatan logistik dan distribusi. Kabupaten Gresik merupakan salah satu wilayah strategis di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang memiliki intensitas tinggi dalam pergerakan angkutan barang antarwilayah. Data menunjukkan bahwa pada tahun 2024 terdapat lebih dari satu juta kendaraan angkutan barang dari luar daerah yang melintasi wilayah Gresik, serta ratusan ribu kendaraan distribusi dalam lingkup internal kabupaten. Namun demikian, hingga saat ini Kabupaten Gresik belum memiliki terminal barang sebagai simpul transportasi logistik yang mampu mengatur dan mengendalikan arus distribusi tersebut. Hal ini mengakibatkan permasalahan seperti kemacetan pada ruas jalan utama dan belum optimalnya sistem distribusi barang. Berdasarkan kebijakan tata ruang dan tataran transportasi lokal, Kecamatan Duduksampeyan ditetapkan sebagai lokasi arahan pembangunan terminal barang. Pembangunan terminal barang menjadi kebutuhan mendesak guna mewujudkan jaringan distribusi yang efisien dan menunjang sektor industri, pertanian, dan perdagangan. Penelitian ini berangkat dari kondisi eksisting dan potensi wilayah Gresik dengan tujuan merancang terminal barang yang dapat berfungsi sebagai pusat operasional logistik serta mendukung kelancaran lalu lintas angkutan barang regional.
