Abstract

Based on data submitted by the Coordinator of the Violation Handling and Information Data Division of Bawaslu, it was revealed that Bawaslu had handled 29,971 allegations of violations or election fraud. This number consists of 23,501 cases in the 2019 Elections and 6,470 cases in the 2020 Pilkada. This fact shows that election fraud is a serious issue and requires more effective handling efforts. In the 2019 Election, there were 23,501 cases of alleged fraud known through 4,506 reports from the public and 18,995 findings made by Bawaslu itself. These cases covered various forms of violations, including administrative violations, document forgery, voter intimidation, and so on. In an effort to minimize election fraud and involve wider public participation, the researcher submitted a thesis research with the title "DESIGNING UI/UX MOBILE APPLICATION BAWASLU GRESIK DISTRICT USING DESIGN THINKING METHOD TO INCREASE TRANSPARENCY AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN ELECTION SUPERVISION ". This research aims to design the user interface (UI/UX) of the Gresik district Bawaslu mobile application with the Design thinking design method approach and the UMUX-LITE testing method. In this study, researchers will pay attention to aspects of transparency in general election supervision. The designed mobile application of Bawaslu Gresik district will have features that allow the public to report suspected election fraud easily and quickly through the application.
