Abstract

Stasiun Kereta Api Lamongan merupakan salah satu infrastruktur transportasi penting di Kota Lamongan yang mengalami peningkatan kebutuhan layanan seiring pertumbuhan jumlah penumpang dan perkembangan kota. Namun, kondisi eksisting stasiun dinilai belum optimal dalam memberikan kenyamanan, efisiensi sirkulasi, serta belum sepenuhnya mencerminkan identitas arsitektur yang sesuai dengan karakter tropis Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meredesain Stasiun Kereta Api Tingkat 1 di Kota Lamongan dengan menerapkan konsep Modern Tropis. Konsep ini dipilih guna menciptakan bangunan yang mampu beradaptasi terhadap iklim tropis melalui pengoptimalan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami, penggunaan material ramah lingkungan, serta penataan ruang yang efisien dan fungsional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif, meliputi analisis kondisi eksisting, studi literatur terkait prinsip arsitektur modern tropis, serta observasi lapangan. Hasil redesain menitikberatkan pada orientasi bangunan yang memaksimalkan sirkulasi udara dan pencahayaan alami, penggunaan material tahan cuaca, serta penyediaan ruang terbuka hijau sebagai bagian dari strategi kenyamanan termal dan visual. Diharapkan, hasil perancangan ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan stasiun, menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman dan sehat bagi pengguna, serta menjadi contoh penerapan arsitektur modern tropis pada fasilitas transportasi publik di Indonesia.
