Abstract
Air is an important element in human life and air quality plays an important role in the development of living things in daily life. Factors such as temperature, humidity, and the content of substances and gases in the air are parameters that generally exist around our environment. Air pollution continues to increase without us realizing it, especially from motor vehicles and the extent of its impact on the air quality around us. Therefore, it is important to need an air quality monitoring system that can provide information about the air conditions around us. This system uses an MQ-7 gas sensor to measure levels of harmful gases in the air such as CO or carbon monoxide, a DHT11 sensor to measure air temperature and humidity, and an ESP8266-based microcontroller to send data from these sensors to the website. That way information about air conditions can be accessed by users at any time as long as an internet connection is available. The main objective of this research is to provide awareness to users about the air quality around them so that they can take action if necessary. Based on 3 days of testing at three test sites, it was found that the DHT11 sensor has an average of 2% with an accuracy of 98% for temperature measurement and an average of 8% with an accuracy of 92% for humidity measurement. The MQ�7 is not so accurate in carbon monoxide readings with an average of 43% and an accuracy of 57%.
