Abstract

Distribusi yang tidak efisien dapat menyebabkan pemborosan biaya operasional perusahaan. Hal ini terjadi pada proses distribusi makanan kucing di Gudang YU PETSHOP, di mana penentuan rute pengiriman masih dilakukan secara manual berdasarkan keputusan sopir tanpa perhitungan sistematis. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan jarak tempuh pengiriman menjadi tidak optimal dan berdampak pada tingginya biaya distribusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan rute distribusi guna meminimalkan biaya operasional dengan menerapkan metode Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). ACO digunakan untuk menentukan rute distribusi yang optimal dengan mempertimbangkan jarak antar titik pengantaran, permintaan pelanggan, dan kapasitas kendaraan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ACO berhasil mengurangi jumlah rute dari lima menjadi empat dengan total jarak tempuh yang lebih pendek. Jarak tempuh bulanan berkurang dari 1.444,8 km menjadi 1.156,6 km atau mengalami penghematan sebesar 288,2 km (19,94%). Efisiensi ini berdampak pada pengurangan biaya bahan bakar sebesar Rp 217.736, biaya tenaga kerja dari Rp 5.600.000 menjadi Rp 4.560.000, dan biaya perawatan kendaraan dari Rp 704.554 menjadi Rp 632.648. Total biaya distribusi sebelum optimasi sebesar Rp 7.396.181 dapat ditekan menjadi Rp 6.066.524, sehingga terjadi penghematan sebesar Rp 1.329.657 atau 17,98% dalam satu bulan. Dengan demikian, metode ACO terbukti efektif dalam mengoptimalkan rute distribusi sekaligus menekan biaya operasional secara signifikan.
