Abstract

Pada era globalisasi saat ini, mahasiswa dituntut untuk tidak hanya unggul dalam aspek akademik, tetapi juga memiliki kesiapan menghadapi dunia kerja melalui pengembangan kematangan karier. Kematangan karier menjadi faktor penting dalam menentukan kesiapan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan profesional pasca-kampus. Namun, masih banyak mahasiswa yang belum memiliki perencanaan karier yang matang dan realistis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan kematangan karier ditinjau dari jenis kelamin dan program studi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya dengan jumlah total 13.066 orang, dan partisipan yang diambil berjumlah 375 mahasiswa menggunakan teknik quota sampling sesuai Tabel Krejcie dan Morgan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif dengan metode non-eksperimental. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kematangan karier berdasarkan teori Donald Super (1990) yang mencakup aspek perencanaan karier, eksplorasi karier, pengambilan keputusan, pengetahuan dunia kerja, preferensi karier, dan kesiapan transisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,081 untuk jenis kelamin dan 0,361 untuk program studi (p>0,05), yang berarti tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam kematangan karier mahasiswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin maupun program studi. Dengan demikian, hipotesis dalam penelitian ini ditolak. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa kematangan karier mahasiswa lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti efikasi diri dan kontrol diri dibandingkan faktor demografis.
