Abstract

Di era revolusi industri persaingan Perusahaan manufaktur semakin ketat, sehingga efisiensi produksi menjadi salah satu kunci untuk meningkatkan produktivitas. PT. Kencar Sukses Investama sebagai produsen Film Cast Polypropylene (CPP) menghadapi tantangan berupa lamanya waktu setup pada mesin Extruder saat produksi mencapai 3 jam. Dimulai tahap persiapan bahan baku yang lama hingga 60 menit kemudian Pada tahap heating up memerlukan waktu hingga 120 menit dan tahap trial run memerlukan waktu hingga 60 menit. Masalah ini berdampak pada peningkatan biaya operasional dan penurunan daya saing. penelitian bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan faktor penyebab pemborosan waktu dengan menggunakan metode Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) guna mempercepat waktu setup serta menggunakan metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM) untuk mengidentifikasi aktivitas non value added. Dengan Metode Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), banyak aktivitas yang sebelumnya tergolong internal dipindahkan menjadi eksternal, sehingga waktu setup turun dari 296 menit menjadi 193 menit, atau terjadi efisiensi waktu sebesar 34,8%. sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kapasitas produksi
