Abstract

Tamban Village, located in Pakel Sub-district, Tulungagung Regency, has significant agricultural potential, with rice and corn as the main commodities. This study aims to identify factors influencing production cost efficiency and to formulate farming optimization strategies using dynamic system scenarios. Analysis using SmartPLS shows that the planet and person variables significantly influence profit, with coefficients of 0.657 and 0.212, respectively. The most dominant indicators include technology adaptation, farmers' age, pest attacks, and fertilizer usage. System dynamics simulation using STELLA evaluated three scenarios: the use of biopesticides, semi-organic fertilizers, and agricultural technology optimization. The biopesticide scenario reduced costs by 8.22% in MT 1, 7.68% in MT 2, and 9.40% in MT 3. The semi- organic fertilizer scenario reduced costs by approximately 1.90%– 2.71%, while the technology optimization scenario decreased costs by 0.86% in MT 1, 0.79% in MT 2, and 1,39% in MT 3. These scenarios demonstrate that reducing production costs can significantly increase farmers’ profits.
