Abstract

Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di UMKM Kali Jaga Farm, terdapat masalah signifikan terkait sisa pakan yang tidak dimanfaatkan. Setiap ikat pakan seberat 30 kilogram hanya dapat dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya oleh kambing, dengan 10 kilogram yang terbuang. Hal ini menunjukkan perlunya inovasi dalam pengolahan pakan agar lebih efisien dan mengurangi pemborosan. Kebutuhan pakan untuk kambing dalam satu bulan bervariasi, dengan periode pertama membutuhkan 630 ikat, periode kedua 780 ikat, dan periode ketiga 660 ikat. Data ini menunjukkan fluktuasi dalam konsumsi pakan yang perlu diperhatikan untuk perencanaan yang lebih baik. Dengan adanya mesin pencacah rumput, diharapkan sisa pakan yang tidak termakan dapat diminimalisir, sehingga biaya pakan dapat ditekan. Hal ini akan berkontribusi pada peningkatan keuntungan bagi peternak, terutama menjelang masa panen yang biasanya terjadi setiap empat bulan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah dilakukan perancangan Mesin Pencacah Rumput Pakan dengan menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dan Metode Kano. Selain itu, penggunaan motor bensin sebagai penggerak mesin pencacah dipilih karena efisiensinya yang baik dan kemudahan dalam perawatan. Ini sangat penting untuk operasional di lokasi yang jauh dari sumber listrik, sehingga mesin dapat berfungsi secara optimal di lapangan.Analisis HPP menunjukkan penurunan biaya operasional dari Rp115.100.000 menjadi Rp103.600.000, meningkatkan keuntungan UMKM Kali Jaga Farm dari Rp29.400.000 menjadi Rp42.000.000, dengan produktivitas 3 kwintal pakan per jam.
