Abstract

Warujayeng is one of the sub-districts in Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency with an area of 805 hectares and an agricultural land area of 439.96 hectares. The main agricultural commodities are rice and corn. Rice planting is carried out in MT I and MT 2, while MT 3 is partly planted with corn, but there are still farmer groups that plant rice. The agricultural production process in this area is hampered by people factors in the form of limited labor which causes increased labor costs, and planet factors in the form of pest attacks. This study aims to analyze the relationship between people and planet factors on operational costs with a dynamic system approach to see its long-term and sustainable impact. Based on the base model simulation, production costs are high due to the large labor requirements during harvest and the increase in labor prices. The first scenario is carried out by replacing the harvesting process using a harvesting machine (combine). The results showed a decrease in production costs: an average of 19.61% in MT l, 18.96% in MT 2, and 16.38% in MT 3. The second scenario was carried out by suppressing pest attacks and showed an average increase in production of 53.14% in MT l, 77.58% in MT 2, and 44.51% in MT 3 for rice. Corn production in MT 3 also increased by an average of 39.01%.
