Abstract
UD. Bola Plastik Jaya Tuban adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan bola plastik. Dalam bebrapa bulan terakhir perusahaan mendapatkan permintaan bola varian baru namun perusahaan belum memiliki mesin yang mampu memproduksi varian tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan pembelian dan penempatan mesin pencetak bola plastik kecil motif loreng di UD. Bola Plastik Jaya Tuban sebagai respons terhadap meningkatnya permintaan pasar untuk varian produk tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis investasi yang relevan, termasuk Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), dan Payback Period (PP) untuk menilai kelayakan finansial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa investasi ini layak dilakukan, didukung oleh nilai NPV positif sebesar Rp 144.594.680, IRR sebesar 68,48% yang melebihi tingkat suku bunga acuan 10%, BCR lebih dari 1 (1,27), serta periode pengembalian modal selama 1 tahun 5 bulan 12 hari. Selain itu, optimasi tata letak menggunakan metode From-To Chart (FTC) mengidentifikasi Layout 1 sebagai penempatan mesin paling efisien, yang meminimalkan jarak dan frekuensi perpindahan material dengan nilai FTC terendah sebesar 549,4. Implementasi investasi dan tata letak optimal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, efisiensi biaya, serta mendukung pertumbuhan perusahaan.
