Abstract

Blitar Regency serves as a major hub for egg production in Indonesia, with one of its key contributors being Artomoro Farm, located in Ngaringan Village, Gandusari District. This study aims to analyze the supply chain management and financial performance of Artomoro Farm over a 25-month production cycle. The upstream subsystem involves the supply of day-old chicks (DOC) from PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia using the ISA Brown strain, as well as feed in the form of concentrate from PT. CJ Feed and Care and PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia. Corn is sourced from farmers in Tuban, Lamongan, Bojonegoro, and Ponorogo, while bran is supplied by agents in Jombang and Majalengka. Additional inputs such as vitamins, vaccines, and medications are provided by PT. Medion Farma and PT. Sanbe Farma. The farming subsystem comprises five close house barns for starter chickens and twenty open house barns for layer hens, with a total capacity of 80,000 birds and a combined barn area of 13,000 square meters. Feed is stored in a 75-square-meter warehouse with a total capacity of 2,000 sacks, each weighing 50 kilograms. Egg productivity reaches over 95% between the ages of seven and ten months, while the chicken mortality rate remains stable at 0.5% per month. The downstream subsystem includes egg distribution to major cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Blitar, in addition to the sale of culled hens, abnormal eggs, and chicken manure. With an initial investment of IDR 6,223,280,000, the farm reached its break-even point in the 14th month and generated a final profit of IDR 13,429,303,533 by the end of the production period. These results reflect the success of an efficient, integrated, and sustainable supply chain management system.
