Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of project scheduling for conveyor table top chain production at CV. XYZ using Critical Path Method (CPM), Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), and project crashing. The study was motivated by frequent project delays in 2024, causing late deliveries and cost overruns. CPM identified the critical path as activities A–B–C–E–F–G–H–I–J–K–L–M–N, with one activity (Incoming Check Material) having slack. PERT estimated the project duration at 127 days with an 84% probability of on-time completion. Crashing was applied to two activities (C–D and F–G), reducing the duration to 107 days with an additional cost of Rp63,300,733. This increased the total project cost from Rp660,660,000 to Rp723,960,733. The findings show that combining CPM, PERT, and crashing significantly improves time efficiency and cost control in project execution.
