Abstract

Tingginya permintaan batu bara dalam negeri mendorong perlunya peningkatan efisiensi dalam sistem logistik dan rantai pasok, khususnya bagi perusahaan pertambangan seperti PT. Mahakam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model simulasi sistem antrian guna mengoptimalkan kinerja logistik perusahaan, dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan teori antrian dan perangkat lunak simulasi ARENA. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi variabel kunci seperti durasi waktu tunggu, panjang antrian, serta tingkat pemanfaatan fasilitas bongkar muat sebagai upaya mengatasi permasalahan demurrage yang timbul akibat kurangnya efisiensi sistem. Metodologi yang digunakan menggabungkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan data primer dan sekunder dari kegiatan logistik PT. Mahakam selama periode Januari hingga Juni 2024. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan efektivitas logistik dapat dicapai melalui pengaturan dan perbaikan jumlah operator, perbaikan sarana bongkar muat, dan pengelolaan alur distribusi yang lebih terstruktur. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan dalam pengembangan model logistik berbasis simulasi di industri batu bara serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap penerapan teori antrian di lingkungan industri.
