Abstract

This parking study was conducted at a shopping center location, namely Kaurnan People's Market, Tulungagung Regency, Java, by examining a vehicle parking lot that could not accommodate the Surge in prking vehicles for 7 working days during peak hours. Based on the initial survey, researchers observed that the problem arose due to inadequate off-street parking, causing market visitors to park their vehicles on the shoulder Of the road around the market area, resulting in congestion and disruption to tragic flow at the Kauman people bfarket. The research method used to resolve these conditions is the gzrking duration survey method or Ming patrol methcxl. obtaining results with the maximum motorcycle accumulation value occurring on Thursday. February 27, 2025 with a total Of 448 motorcycles jumping at 06.01-07.00 and 69 cars jumping at 08.01-09.00. The maximum prking volume Occurred on Thursdry, February 27, 2025 as many as 284 motorcycles and 32 cars. On Monday. February 24, 2025, it had the longest prking period with a duration Of 180 minutes for motorcycles and 240 minutes for cars. The maximum parking turnover for motorcycles occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2025 of 4.116 vehicles/day/space and for cars it occurred On Sunday, February 23, 2025, of •4. I (N) vehicles/day/spce. The maximum Parking Index occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2025, with a percentage of 183% for motorbikes and for cars with a percentage of 190% which exceeds 100% which means thar prking facilities are problematic. 'Ihe need for parking space is 57 SRP motorbikes and 9 SRP cars or with an additiopnl land requirement of 189 m2.
