Abstract

Keterkaitan antara kegiatan perdagangan dan jasa dengan system transportasi menimbulkan berbagai dampak yang saling terrkait dan berpengaruh antara keduanya. Royal Plaza merupakan salah satu plaza terbesar di Kota Surabaya yang terletak di salah satu Jalan arteri primer terpadat di Kota Surabaya yaitu Jalan Ahmad Yani. Pengembangan Kawasan superblock seperti Royal Plaza di Surabaya telah menyebabkan permasalahan lalu lintas yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak Aktivitas Pusat Perbelanjaan Royal Plaza terhadap kinerja lalu lintas di Jalan Ahmad Yani, Jalan Ketintang dan Persimpangan Jalan Ahmad Yani-Jalan Ketintang. Fokus penelitian ini adalah unutk mengidentifikasi permasalahan lalu lintas yang timbul akibat kegiatan Royal Plaza dan serta mengatasi permasalahan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini juga akan menganalisis besaran Tarikan dan bangkitan di kawasan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, intensitas bengkitan-tarikan. Royal Plaza Surabaya memiliki nilai sebesar 0,20 dan intensitas tingkat pelayanan jalan memiliki nilai 0,91 dengan demikian, bangkitan-tarikan pergerakan kegiatan pusat perbelanjaan Royal Plaza memberi pengaruh sebesar 22% terhadap kinerja Jalan. Hasil Penelitian ini diharapkan dapt memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan Kawasan yang berkelanjutan dan mengurangi permasalahan lalu lintas di Surabaya. Selain itu, Penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi acuan bagi pemerintah dan pengembangan dalam merancang dan mengembangkan Kawasan yang lebih efektif dan efisien.
